JOB SUMMARY
The Compliance Analyst for Courts is a professional role within the Compliance Division of the Court Services Department in the Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller’s Office. Compliance with the laws impacting the Court Services Department is the primary focus of the role, requiring the monitoring of data reporting, system programming, and workflow processes to improve accuracy, identify variations, and reduce errors.
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for clearly communicating directives and reinforcing the importance of compliance with approved policies and procedures. This role also contributes to the ongoing review, development, and maintenance of operational policies, ensuring effectiveness and recommending changes that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and legal compliance. Collaboration with other departments—particularly IT, Data Management, and Operations—is essential to ensure systems and technologies used in court-related services are compliant with statutes, rules, and organizational requirements.
Success in this role requires dedication to learning and demonstrating a thorough understanding of court procedures and records, system-level compliance controls, and documentation standards. The position demands strong technical and organizational expertise, sound judgment, transparency in decision-making, and a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
In fulfilling these duties, the Compliance Analyst plays a key role in fostering accountability and driving innovation by proactively identifying and resolving compliance gaps through audits, quality control reviews, and testing of system changes. The role also delivers targeted training to staff, ensures compliance with legal and procedural standards, provides reporting and executive administrative support, and contributes to project planning, documentation development, and policy implementation.
A strong technical and organizational foundation is essential for the effective execution of duties, with strict adherence to confidentiality rules and laws, and a precise distinction between public and nonpublic records.
A commitment to high-quality service standards and good judgment is vital. The Compliance Analyst ensures work is accurate, complete, and timely in accordance with departmental performance standards. The position produces reports with quantitative productivity, audit, and quality data to support internal benchmarking and performance evaluations. The Compliance Analyst also safeguards sensitive systems through user access reviews, system audits, and policy enforcement.

Relevant Experience: Proven experience serving as a lead on project teams and producing accurate technical writing for inclusion into project documentation, and developing training plans/conducting staff training preferably in a highly regulated industry. |
