Client Finance Director

HornBill has a client that is seeking a Client Finance Director in New York, NY. The Client Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the client finance department while applying accounting principles and procedures to prepare and analyze financial information pertaining to client revenue in accordance with industry practices. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage revenue recognition schedules for multiple agency divisions
• Provide updates as required on status of each account to Account Team leads and Directors
• Compile and analyze financial information and prepare financial management reports, including utilization and client profitability
• Work with account teams and senior leadership to forecast client revenue across various revenue streams
• Calculate and negotiate client fees and scope
• Finance lead on client scope and fee conversations with external and internal counterparts
• Identify accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close reconciliations related to revenue accounts
• Oversee all Client Finance staff, empowering them to grow within their roles
• Ad hoc reporting and accounting research

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 6-9 years of finance/accounting experience
• Experience working in media, advertising, or similar field, preferably at a large networked agency
• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS
• Proficient in MS Office, with a particular focus in Excel and PowerPoint
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, confidence, and integrity
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Collaborative, with strong focus on teamwork
