Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Reports to: Board of Directors
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes
Position Summary: Provides executive management of planning, organizing, directing all areas of fiscal-related functions, including but not limited to financial reporting, budget planning, financial forecasting, and cash management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversight and supervision of all fiscal-related functions, including finance, accounts receivable, and accounts payable departments.
- Responsible for developing the necessary policies and controls for the protection of the financial resources of the company and its partner companies.
- Ensures fiscal-related functions are consistently applying, developing, and integrating corporate accounting policies.
- Regularly reporting on financial performance in line with organizational requirements and needs.
- Financial analysis of company financial performance, analyzing trends, and advising of improvisations wherever needed.
- Recommends cost-control opportunities, efficiency improvements, and revenue enhancements.
- Ensures the organization is compliant with all fiscal policies and decision-making is completed always with compliance in mind.
- Develops annual operating, capital, and expense budgets.
- Ensures all financial statements are appropriately and accurately stated.
- Understands and evaluates healthcare-related issues regarding labor relations, economic factors, and legislation that may affect the organization and its partner companies.
- Timely completion of periodic work and projects, consistently meeting deadlines.
- Takes ownership of managing finance & accounting departments.
- Development of accounting and finance organization's talent, expanding bench strength, and advancing skills and abilities of team.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to develop and interpret mathematical presentations.
- Advanced math skills and abilities.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, ratios, graphs, discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, and volume.
- Exceptional prioritization and organizational skills.
- Proficient personal computer skills to include electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet applications, graphics, presentations, etc.
- A willingness to travel locally and regionally up to 40% of the time as needed.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Reliable transportation.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required. Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting required.
- 3+ years of senior financial management experience required.
- Healthcare finance or accounting experience preferred.
- C.P.A. Certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Frequent use of hands to finger, handling, feeling, and reaching with hands and arms.
- Prolonged walking.
- Prolonged standing.
- Some bending.
- Frequent keyboarding.
- Frequent looking at computer screens for extended periods of time.
- Ability to drive motor vehicle.
