Position Summary: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Yellowstone Boys and Girls you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, providing strategic guidance to the executive team, and ensuring the company's financial health and stability. The CFO will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy, optimizing performance, and safeguarding assets.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Provides leadership and supervision to the accounting department as outlined in the supervisor duties below.

  1. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  2. Plans and directs work, ensuring that work schedules are adhered to and assigning specific duties to subordinate staff. 
  3. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training employees. Conducts staff evaluations, job performance management (including coaching/counseling), and corrective action.
  4. Responsible for ensuring appropriate staff training and education programs are provided. Schedule and conduct regular staff meetings.
  5. Demonstrates effective management of a team toward achievement of goals, including appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities: 

  1. Manage all financial resources of the company and make decisions to aid its growth.
  2. Oversee the matter of finance as well to make decisions regarding budget and financial plans of YBGR.
  3. Prepare financial reports regarding the performance of YBGR for the CEO and Board of Directors.
  4. Lead process for preparation of annual operating and capital budgets.
  5. Assure completion of annual audits according to established board and contract due dates
  6. Advise ELC and Board regarding all laws and reporting requirements related to financial operations of YBGR.
  7. Review and update all YBGR financial policies and procedures annually.
  8. Oversee employee benefit plans, with particular emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package.
  9. Maintain appropriate property and liability insurance coverage.
  10. Maintain speed and accuracy of billing and client payments.
  11. Contribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals and outcomes. Participate in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) goals of the organization individually and as a team member.
  12. Deal constructively and helpfully with all other members of the organization. 
  13. Fully support and model the mission and values of YBGR.
  14. Adhere to all policies, systems, safety requirements, and procedures of the organization.
  15. Take the initiative to identify problems and seek out solutions.
  16. Be a professional representative of the organization to those outside it.
  17. Participate and engage in monthly supervision/coaching meetings with the supervisor.
  18. Be aware of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons served.
  19. Participate in required training as appropriate to the position and beneficial to YBGR.
  20. Other duties as assigned.
