Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Reports To: Executive Director

Position Status: Full-Time, Exempt, Hybrid

Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT metro area

We are a well-established, mission-driven nonprofit human services agency serving the Salt Lake City, UT region, providing emergency shelter, supportive services, and housing-focused rental assistance that helps individuals and families move out of homelessness and back into the community.

Job Summary

The CFO provides executive leadership and strategic oversight of the organization's financial operations, ensuring long-term sustainability and effective stewardship of resources. Reporting to the Executive Director, the CFO is the primary financial advisor to executive leadership, the Board of Trustees, and its committees, and oversees the Finance & Accounting (F&A) function through the Director of F&A. The role holds enterprise-level responsibility for financial strategy, risk management, treasury oversight, and external financial relationships.

Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is not available. This is an in-person role (F&A staff may work from home up to two days per week).
