Barings’ Client, Finance & Operations team is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Associate to join the team. This role offers exposure to a variety of operational, financial, and reporting functions across Barings’ U.S. business, with opportunities to contribute to global initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and a desire to grow within a fast-paced organization.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly financial close processes, including journal entries and variance analysis.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and documentation.
• Help coordinate audit and compliance activities by preparing and organizing supporting materials.
• Contribute to internal reporting and documentation related to business operations, risk, and capital planning.
• Participate in the preparation of regulatory filings and internal reviews.
• Review and process payment runs under supervision.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
• Support data consolidation and reporting across U.S. and international entities.
• Take on ad hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Prior experience in financial services, operations, or accounting preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Workday or similar systems is a plus.
