The PT Assistant Maintenance Controller is responsible for assisting the Associate Director of Operations Resource Management (ADORM) to track and comply with all maintenance events and maintenance discrepancies for Liberty owned and operated aircraft. This position will enable coverage of the functions to support flight training and a high quality / safe student training experience during the 100 hours / 6 days per week that LUSOA is open for flight operations. The DFO will continuously review and analyze flight scheduling and flight training performance to ensure the most efficient and adaptive operation possible as the directorate adds 20% more instructional staff members, 30% more flight students, and 4 more aircraft by Fall 2024.

Work Environment

The majority of job duties will be performed in the LUSOA Flight Operations Center. This work will involve data entry and communication with Dispatch. The Maintenance Controller will regularly move around the facility while coordinating maintenance with Freedom Aviation.

Driving Requirements

There is the possibility of using one’s personal vehicle to travel between airport facilities.  Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
