Assistant Financial Controller

With 238 premium rooms, conferencing facilities, and in house dining, we've consistently delivered award winning service since opening our doors in 2018.  This year, we're reimagining what exceptional guest service is at our hotel; This is your opportunity to join our team, as we prepare to launch Brisbane’s newest grill experience.  The Assistant Financial Controller works with the support of the Financial Controller to oversea the hotel's financial performance, and provide other department leaders with accurate and timely consultation on how to optimise financial performance. The primary responsibilities of the role include:  Support in management of budgeting, planning, and forecasting for the hotel, including analysis and reporting for monthly and yearly results.  Monthly analysis and reporting of results, forecast, and P&L. Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory systems and standards.  Provide appropriate training to hotel leaders & the finance team to ensure accuracy and financial integrity at all levels. This role requires a specialised skill set, you must be able to demonstrate competence and expertise in financial processes of a hotels operations. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate:  Significant experience using hotel systems: Opera, Micros, Sun, PurchasePlus, Ready Workforce, Currency Select, Online Banking portals, and others as deemed necessary to support the performance of the hotel. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide analytical commentary.  Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.
