As the Assistant Director of Accounting, you will support the Director of Accounting in overseeing (1) the Company’s internal (management) and external (SEC) financial reporting activities; (2) the monthly closing and consolidation processes; (3) various corporate accounting functions including impairment, accounts receivable, accounts payable, equity, lease accounting, general accounting and eliminations; (4) various audits; (5) ongoing compliance with GAAP, including technical research and memo documentation.

Job Requirements:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related accounting experience required. Knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements is a must. CPA strongly desired. Public accounting experience strongly preferred. Experience in the real estate industry strongly preferred. 

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office setting.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
