POSITION TITLE: Assistant Controller LOCATION: Cambridge, MA (Hybrid) This position reports to our global HQ in Cambridge, MA and is hybrid with 2-3 days onsite. Travel is expected domestically and internationally when needed.

Who We Are Looking For:

TriNetX, LLC has an immediate need for an Assistant Controller to join our team. TriNetX was founded on the idea that incorporating real-world data results in better clinical trial design, improves the site selection and patient recruitment process and generates real-world evidence (RWE) to advance the collective understanding of human health.

This position requires a well-rounded individual who has demonstrated the ability to deliver results in a high-growth, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. We are looking for a highly motivated team player who brings a strong work ethic and accounting skills.

What You Will Be Doing:

Financial Reporting & Close

Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness Prepare and consolidate internal financial statements for management review. Manage general ledger operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses. Support revenue recognition, deferred revenue analysis, and SaaS/data‑services contract accounting.

Technical Accounting

Research and resolve complex technical accounting issues in compliance with U.S. GAAP. Prepare technical accounting memos for management and auditors. Develop, update, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls.

Audit, Controls, and Compliance

Serve as a primary contact for external auditors, preparing schedules and supporting documentation. Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks across the finance function. Support compliance for US GAAP, global reporting requirements, and multi‑entity consolidation.

Financial Planning & Business Finance Partnership

Support budgeting and forecasting and prepare detailed financial analyses. Analyze cost variances and prepare budget‑to‑actual reporting. Partner with FP&A and business leads to provide financial insights in a fast‑growing healthcare data environment.

Operational Accounting Leadership

Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and other core accounting functions. Support cash flow management, including payables, receivables, cash balances, and controls. Lead process improvements, automation, and financial system enhancements

What You Bring to TriNetX:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA strongly preferred. 7-10+ years progressive accounting experience, ideally in technology, SaaS, life sciences, or healthcare data industries. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Strong technical accounting skills with ability to research and resolve complex issues. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Experience participating in system implementations or automation initiatives
