Our client, a major fishing and seafood processing company, is seeking an Assistant Controller for their Bridgeton, NJ location. The Assistant Controller will support the day-to-day accounting operations and help ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. Working closely with the Controller, this role is responsible for managing the close process, maintaining GAAP compliance, and strengthening internal controls. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while helping drive consistency and efficiency across the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounting operations leadership
• Financial reporting & closing
• GAAP compliance & internal controls

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting
• 5 – 7+ years accounting experience
• Expertise in technical accounting
• Skills in ERP systems efficiency and critical analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior controller/mid-level accounting experience
• Public accounting experience

Salary Range:$90,000-$110,000
