The Americas Commercial Controller, Transfusion Medicine (TM) manages all aspects of financial planning, analysis and reporting related to TM US and LAC commercial operations, including analysis to support key growth and profitability programs.
What You’ll Work On
- Financial planning activities include long-range plans, the annual plan, regular LBE's, capital planning, and headcount planning.
- Reporting activities include the monthly close, variance analysis, and internal management reporting.
- Monthly reporting of results versus benchmarks including prior year, Plan and LBEs. Coordinate financial matters with the TM BU Controller, as well as other members of the division and BU finance teams.
- Provides primary financial support to the DVP & GM, TM US Commercial and Managing Director, TM Latin America/Canada Commercial.
- Compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.Ongoing tasks of this position include performance management of the business and evaluation of direct reports, leadership of all relevant planning and LBE processes, establishment and maintenance of internal controls over pricing, profitability and spend, compliance with all corporate policies, and effective financial input into key strategic initiatives.
- Reporting to the TM BU Controller with a responsibility to the DVP & GM, TM US Commercial and Managing Director, TM Latin America/Canada Commercial.
- Collaborate with TM Business Unit Finance, CFS and other local entity controllership teams on monthly and quarterly accounting and FP&A requirements.
- Act as a key liaison with Commercial Excellence and Marketing teams to ensure connection of key market and financial results/forecasts, playing a key role in the IBP process.
- Monitor the calculation of Gross to Net Sales for actuals and different planning scenarios.
- Establish guidelines and directs the preparation of budgets and forecast updates in accordance with GAAP and BU Requirements.
- Identifies and analyzes business problems and opportunities and evaluates the financial and operational results of the relevant functions.
- Furnishes management with findings and recommendations needed to make significant operational decisions which impact profitability and cash flow.
- Provide Monthly Business Review and other financial dashboards to commercial teams. Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of business plans, vendor/distributor agreements, marketing promotions, commission plans and other contractual support.
- Encourages the professional and management development of the 2 direct finance personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/economics or related
- Minimum 8-10 years of financial experience with prior experience in commercial operations and/or FP&A
- Wide ranging financial experience, including planning, controls and strategic planning and execution of those plans
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment with frequent deadlines, ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
- Ability to balance between the strategic perspective and proper attention to detail when a hands on approach is required
- Previous experience working with large amounts of data/complex processes and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience developing financial models that consider multiple variable input factors and analyzing various financial scenarios.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of internal clients.
- Flexible and well-organized, self-starter, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Solid accounting knowledge and strong technical systems skills such as Excel, SAP, Hyperion, TM1, PowerBI preferred.
- Previous experience managing a team a plus

The base pay for this position is
$129,300.00 – $258,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
