Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for handling financial transactions within Landmark Properties.

Reports to: Development Accounting Manager

Direct Reports: None

Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the Accounts Payable Specialist responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.

• Using accounting software and other tools to handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
• Analyzing workflow processes to improve efficiency.
• Maintain relationship with development team to support vendor communication regarding invoicing and payment timing.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
• Ensuring timely and accurate payment of bills while following departmental procedures.
• Processing due invoices for payments.
• Recording accounts receivable payments upon receipt
• Comparing subcontracts, prices, terms of payment, and other charges.
• Performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proficiency in accounting software

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities.

• Acumatica Experience a plus but not required
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
