Job Description
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for handling financial transactions within Landmark Properties.
Reports to: Development Accounting Manager
Direct Reports: None
Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the Accounts Payable Specialist responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.
- Using accounting software and other tools to handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
- Analyzing workflow processes to improve efficiency.
- Maintain relationship with development team to support vendor communication regarding invoicing and payment timing.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
- Ensuring timely and accurate payment of bills while following departmental procedures.
- Processing due invoices for payments.
- Recording accounts receivable payments upon receipt
- Comparing subcontracts, prices, terms of payment, and other charges.
- Performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proficiency in accounting software
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities.
- Acumatica Experience a plus but not required
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
