Accounts Payable Specialist

Come join Mystic Lake Casino as an Accounts Payable Specialist! You will manage end-to-end accounts payable processes, including reviewing invoices, processing vendor payments, reconciling accounts, and resolving payment-related inquiries to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Onsite Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Job Overview: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for all accounts payable activities to ensure timely and accurate payment of Gaming Enterprise obligations.

Illuminate Your Future: What You’ll Do:

• Receives, reviews, and verifies vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepares and processes payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
• Reconciles monthly vendor statements and accrued balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Responds to vendor, departmental and Purchasing inquiries and resolves issues related to payments.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls related to accounts payable.
• Prepares disbursements and issues checks

Job Requirements

• Associate’s degree in finance, accounting or related field and 1+ year of accounting, accounts payable or related experience OR 3+ years of accounting, accounts payable or related experience.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting principles including GAAP, internal controls and financial compliance.
• Experience with accounting software and MS Excel. Experience with Oracle Net Suite preferred.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organization, critical thinking, detail-orientation and problem-solving skills.
