ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems Ireland Limited is a subsidiary of the Swedish multinational ASSA ABLOY Group. Located in Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24, we employ approximately 55 people across Sales, Installation, Service and Finance functions, supporting customers throughout Ireland.
As Ireland's leading Industrial Door and Dock Equipment company, we are continuing to grow and are now seeking a Payroll Administrator / Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented and proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to the success of a growing business.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of weekly payroll and accounts payable activities, whilst supporting key finance processes across the business.
This is a varied role requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
- Process weekly payroll and employee expenses accurately and on time.
- Ensure payroll records are maintained in line with company procedures and statutory requirements.
- Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and management.
- Support payroll reporting and reconciliation activities.
Accounts Payable
- Manage the accounts payable process from invoice receipt through to payment.
- Process supplier invoices and maintain accurate supplier records.
- Handle supplier queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and reconcile supplier statements.
Finance Support
- Assist with month-end processes, including:
- Accruals
- Prepayments
- Account reconciliations
- Complete intercompany reconciliations.
- Process and reconcile bank and credit card transactions.
- Support general office administration activities.
- Collaborate with departments across the business to improve systems and process efficiencies.
- Undertake additional projects and reasonable duties as requested by the Financial Controller.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential
- Minimum 2 years' experience in payroll and accounts payable within a busy, high-volume environment.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and accounts payable functions.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using accounting and payroll software.
- Knowledge of the Irish tax system.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable
- Experience using Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll.
- Previous experience within the construction or engineering sector.
- A finance-related qualification or ongoing professional development.
