Accounting Specialist

Purpose
This position contributes to the overall success of the accounting department by performing accounting duties, supporting financial processes, and working collaboratively with team members to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal controls.

Activities + Responsibilities
•    Assists with budgets and project reporting, specifically relating to key performance indicators. 
•    Assists with the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
•    Pulls and compiles all information necessary for end of the year tax return. 
•    Audits accounts to ensure compliance with internal policies as well as state and federal regulations.
•    Assist in coordinating with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external/internal audits.
•    Performs monthly employee insurance reconciliations.
•    Oversee AP and all payment processing and purchases, ensure all automatic payments are posted.
•    Manages rent payment schedules, as well as company debt schedules. 
•    Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications    
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
•    Five years or more of related experience required.
•    Certified Public Accountant designation preferred not required.

Physical Requirements
•    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
•    Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
