As per 15 November 2026, our Finance department is looking for a: 

Accounting Officer (40 h/w) 

Based in Amsterdam

The core activity of the Finance Department is to safeguard the financial resources of MSF on behalf of the people we serve and to advise senior management on financial planning and performance. OCA Finance is part of the Resources group of departments, represented by staff in our field projects and coordination offices around the world, as well as our partner sections and our operational center Amsterdam with 27 staff members.

Are you a finance professional who enjoys working with accuracy, taking ownership, and improving the way things are done? As an Accounting Officer at MSF Netherlands, you will play an important role in keeping our day-to-day financial operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities and activities 

In this hands-on position, you will work across a wide range of accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, month-end closing, reporting, and financial administration. You will also be a key point of contact for suppliers, MSF sections, and staff on invoices, payments, and finance-related queries. 

Beyond daily operations, you will contribute to stronger financial controls, support complex international bank transfers, and help improve processes in a dynamic international environment. 

We are looking for someone with a solid accounting foundation, attention to detail, and a proactive, collaborative approach. Enjoying solving problems and identifying gaps and discrepancies. We offer 

An exciting opportunity to join the Financial department within a major international organisation and play a practical role supporting medical and humanitarian operations worldwide. 

This is a structural position. We offer a Dutch employment contract, based on 40 hours per week. The contract is for one year with renewal option (subject to satisfactory performance). 

This role is offered on a Dutch employment contract (40 hours/week), with a preferred start date of 15 November 2026. The gross monthly salary between € 3,394 and € 4,672 euro depending on relevant work experience, based on a fulltime appointment.
