Job purpose
To provide Accounting Clerk Lead. Supporting the overall mission to provide high quality healthcare and support to operational forces at Naval Health Clinic Hawaii Shipyard Clinic. Contract for 8-koi; a diverse Florida-based service and consulting company that has been providing outstanding results for our clients for over 20 years.
Duties and responsibilities
- Perform verification of health insurance (OHI) information, utilizing medical and billing programs and providing customer support.
- Required basic understanding of accounting policies, and procedures to examine, verify, maintain, reconcile accounts, accounting data, prepare, and analyze reports.
- Knowledge of electronic health records and electronic billing systems to process account maintenance and accounting support work.
- Knowledge of claims, posting of payments, Other Health Insurance (OHI), batch print, Medical Service Accounts (MSA), DD7's, Medical Affirmative Claims (MAC), Centralized Receivables Service accounts
- Responsible for coordinating completion of initial, remedial and annual training for its personnel providing services in the UBO office.
- Responsible for assigning tasks, ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed in compliance with federal regulations.
- Assigned to coordinate time off and sick leave requests from staff.
- Must notify government oversight if there are any concerns in regard to time off or sick leave.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently and maintain good communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certification required
- Experience in using basic software applications, e.g. Microsoft Word and Excel
- Must be physically capable to standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and capable of normal ambulation.
- Must have Certifications (in addition to Basic Life Support)
- Current Immunizations will require such immunizations:
- Annual vaccinations
- Physical Examinations
- Tuberculosis (TB) Screening Test
Working conditions
Work schedule Monday through Friday five eight (8) hour shifts between the hours of 0630-1800 with nonbillable lunch hour. Shall not exceed 40 hours per week. Will not be required to work the (11) federally recognized holidays.
