Job Title: Accounting Admin Asst.
Location: 1325 N. Fiesta Blvd. Gilbert, AZ 85233
Duration: 3-month contract
Pay Rate: $18.31/hr. on w2.

Position Description:
- Manages blanket purchase orders for Emergency Management, processes/approves invoices for payment, and monitors purchase orders for balances. Responds to inquiries from internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner, providing accurate information and/or direction to the proper resources
- Validating bank deposits by verifying accounting string information, reconciling amounts received and amounts to be deposited, and ensuring protection of funds until delivered to the appropriate person/entity
- Provides oversight of the customer service reception desk which includes but is not limited to: mail and courier services, scheduling meeting rooms and vehicle service; answering main telephone line for department.
- Adhering to established procedures and ensuring that staff coverage is adequate, and resources are available and up to date
- Conducts research for products, services, or solutions and make recommendations to supervisor
- Creating and maintaining records and databases for incoming revenue for Palo Verde and Emergency Management
- Manages annual inventory of office supplies and equipment for Support Services
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access Database
- Considerable knowledge of governmental organization and functions
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work individually with minimum supervision or as a team member
- Ability to operate a variety of telephone/computer/radio/electronic equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively in a public setting.
3 years accounting experience
Experience Preferred:
Government Accounting
Education Required:
HS or GED
Additional Information:
- Client prefer east valley candidates, as this assignment is 100% on-site and commute would be better for the candidate.
- Client has had previous issues with candidates who've had longer commutes.
