Job Description Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is part of Circle K's Global Finance organization and is responsible for full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations Great news! Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is looking for a new team player, who would like to join our team as: Accountant in Record to Report Germany team Type of Employment: Permanent Location: Riga, Latvia Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA (relocation assistance is not provided) WHAT YOU'LL DO Process and maintain financial records in compliance with Group policies, procedures, and applicable legal requirements. Process accounting transactions and maintain supporting documentation in accordance with approved departmental procedures. Perform account reconciliations and analyses, investigate discrepancies and errors, and ensure their resolution. Participate in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities in accordance with established schedules and procedures. Review and investigate information submitted by other departments and develop an understanding of the related business processes. Support internal stakeholders by responding to accounting-related inquiries and ad hoc requests. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve process documentation. Participate in projects, perform ad hoc analyses, and support other accounting and finance activities as required. WHAT YOU'LL NEED A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a similar field. At least 1 year of experience in controlling, accounting, auditing or a similar field, preferably within an international work environment. Good computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel) and a background in accounting systems (experience with SAP, Oracle JDE and Longview is an advantage). The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. An accurate and detail-oriented approach, combined with a proactive, goal-oriented mindset and a high level of responsibility and ownership. The ability to work in a changing environment and a willingness to grow professionally. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues across Europe and North America. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with colleagues across Europe. Knowledge of German to communicate with colleagues in Germany is an advantage.
