Anticipated Vacancy

What you will do:

This position will be responsible for reconciling five local funds accounts to Florida Accounting Information System (FLAIR), Quicken and local bank, making all correcting entries to FLAIR.

How you will make an impact:

• Responsible for all documentation of stop payments for local funds
• Coordinating with all involved areas in preparation of FLAIR & banking entries needed to adjust for stop payments
• Responsible for processing Direct Orders (Dos)
• Verify mail log
• Receive deposit slips
• Post deposits from mail log
• Prepare and reconcile monthly category reports with Quicken.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of the methods of data collection.
• Ability to prepare financial statements and reports.
• Ability to design and implement accounting systems.
• Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of accounting records.
• Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data.
• Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to an accounting program.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. 
• Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent
• At least one year of professional work experience
