ACCOUNTANT II 

The Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) is seeking a qualified individual to serve as an Accountant on our finance team. This person supports the daily functioning of the organization through accurate financial processing, reporting and filing, payroll support, and strong internal controls.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

This accounting role is a good fit for someone who takes pride in accurate, reliable financial processing and understands how strong fiscal practices support public trust. The Accountant II will perform intermediate-level accounting work across core financial processes, contribute to required reporting and filing, complete payroll-related processes, and help ensure internal controls are adequately and consistently designed, planned and followed. The ideal candidate will value public service, enjoy intendent working to improving processes and solving problems, and bring a collaborative mindset to working with finance teammates, program staff and agency partners. This person will also build positive working relationships and communicate with patience, clarity and professionalism.
