Accountant

Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties • Performs daily, monthly, quarterly, and year-end general accounting and internal and external reporting • Prepares month-end and miscellaneous journal entries • Adheres to departmental month-end closing schedule • Assists with capital expenditures • Performs periodic physical inventories and related inventory control procedures • Coordinates with the Financial Controller and all operating departments the annual reconciliation of 1099 information and preparation of the documents. • Responsible for substantiation of assigned general ledger account balances through account analysis including the reconciliation of subsidiary information • Performs special projects as assigned • Will abide by all safety requirements as outlined in the Safety Manual or as required by individual departments and/or job functions.
