Restaurant Accountant / Bookkeeper — Jerk King

About Us:

Jerk King is a Toronto-based Caribbean quick-service restaurant chain. We're looking for a detail-oriented accountant/bookkeeper to support our financial operations as we continue to grow.

What You'll Do:

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping using QuickBooks, including accounts payable/receivable
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements across multiple restaurant locations
• Track and categorize expenses, sales revenue, and cost of goods sold (COGS)
• Prepare financial reports and summaries for ownership review
• Assist with payroll-related reconciliation and expense tracking
• Maintain organized, accurate financial records in compliance with standard accounting practices
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Work on-site at our office location

What You Need:

• Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field (diploma or degree)
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience (bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, or similar)
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple location accounts
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice to Have:

• Experience in restaurant, retail, or multi-location business accounting
• Familiarity with POS systems (Clover, Square) and reconciling POS sales data
