Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is an office-based position, and candidates who are able to work from our Salt Lake City office will be considered.

The Accountant will support day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, assist with month-end close, and provide general accounting support to the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely accounting records and transactions
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain the general ledger and supporting documentation
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis
• Support invoice processing, payments, and expense reporting
• Assist with payroll-related accounting activities as needed
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Support audits and provide information requested by internal or external parties
• Identify discrepancies and work with internal teams to resolve accounting issues
• Perform other accounting duties as needed

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years of accounting experience
• Experience with general accounting principles and financial transactions
• Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR, and general ledger activities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas and spreadsheets

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
• Equivalent relevant accounting experience and/or education may be considered
