Account Receivable/Accounting Specialist

About our property:

What you will have an opportunity to do:

• Process and maintain accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Prepare, review, and distribute invoices, statements, and supporting documentation for guests, groups, corporate accounts, travel agencies, wholesalers, and other business partners.
• Post payments, adjustments, credits, and other receivable transactions to the appropriate accounts.
• Monitor outstanding balances and conduct regular follow-up on past-due accounts.
• Reconcile accounts receivable balances and investigate discrepancies.
• Review guest folios, group master accounts, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate billing.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Sales, Catering, and other departments to resolve billing issues.
• Maintain accurate records of collections, correspondence, and account activity.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and aging reports.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

What are we looking for?

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Previous accounts receivable, accounting, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Resort or hotel accounting experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and accounts receivable procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with hotel PMS, accounting, or financial systems preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
