Global Vice President, Procurement
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Industry: FMCG / Consumer Goods
Search: Confidential
The Opportunity:
Our client is a well-known FMCG business with a global footprint, iconic brands, and a procurement organization that sits at the heart of how the company competes, grows, and protects margin.
We are looking for a Global Vice President, Procurement to lead procurement across four major regions: North America, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC. This role will own both direct and indirect procurement, bringing global discipline, regional intelligence, commercial sharpness, and the kind of leadership that turns procurement from a support function into a serious business weapon.
This is not a “keep the lights on” procurement role.
This is for someone who knows how to build strategy, challenge suppliers, lead through complexity, influence senior stakeholders, and create value without making the business feel like procurement is slowing everything down.
What You’ll Own:
You will lead a global procurement organization across direct and indirect categories, partnering closely with regional leadership, operations, supply chain, finance, commercial, and executive teams.
Your mandate will include:
- Leading procurement strategy across NORAM, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC
- Managing global and regional category teams across direct and indirect spend
- Driving supplier strategy, negotiation, risk management, and value creation
- Building stronger procurement governance, tools, processes, and operating rhythms
- Partnering with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, marketing, commercial, and R&D teams
- Creating a high-performance procurement culture across regions
- Balancing cost, quality, service, innovation, resilience, and speed
- Developing talent and raising the bar for what great procurement looks like globally
- Helping the business make smarter decisions with better market intelligence, supplier insight, and commercial discipline
What Makes This Role Interesting:
You will be joining a business where procurement matters.
The organization has scale, complexity, global suppliers, regional nuance, fast-moving categories, and the usual FMCG cocktail of pressure, pace, margin, innovation, and surprise fires that need putting out before breakfast.
The right person will not just run procurement. They will shape it.
You will have the chance to influence global strategy, professionalize the function further, unlock value across categories, and build a team that is respected by the business because it brings answers, not obstacles.
What We’re Looking For:
We are looking for a procurement leader who has been in the arena.
Someone who understands global FMCG, consumer goods, food, beverage, personal care, packaging, ingredients, commodities, manufacturing, or adjacent fast-moving environments.
You should bring:
- Significant global procurement leadership experience
- Strong exposure to both direct and indirect procurement
- Experience leading across multiple regions, ideally including North America, Europe, LATAM, and APAC
- Deep supplier negotiation and category strategy capability
- Strong commercial instincts and financial acumen
- Experience building teams, systems, and procurement operating models
- The ability to influence senior executives without hiding behind process
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, complex, global environment
- A leadership style that is direct, collaborative, practical, and credible
The Person:
The best fit will be someone who can move between boardroom strategy and supplier negotiation without changing costume.
You are sharp enough to challenge the business, humble enough to listen to the regions, and experienced enough to know that global procurement only works when the model respects local reality.
You know how to get savings, but you are not just a savings machine. You understand risk, resilience, service, innovation, sustainability, and supplier partnerships. You know when to push, when to partner, and when to walk away.
You are a builder, a leader, a negotiator, and a calm presence in a function where calm is often in short supply.
Why This Role:
Because global procurement in FMCG is not for passengers.
It is for people who can handle speed, pressure, suppliers, plants, stakeholders, inflation, complexity, and the occasional beautiful mess of global business.
This is a chance to step into a highly visible global leadership role with a major consumer goods business and help shape procurement across four regions.
For the right leader, this is a big seat.
And it should be.
