The Role:
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accounting records and financial transactions for trusts and related entities.
- Prepare bank and investment account reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and client reports.
- Prepare and review trust account reconciliations, including bank, investment, and brokerage accounts.Process and record trust transactions, receipts, disbursements, distributions, and journal entries.
- Support trust administration activities and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with fiduciary requirements, company policies, and regulatory standards.
- Respond to client inquiries and maintain accurate documentation and records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in trust accounting, fiduciary services, estate administration, family office, wealth management, or public accounting.
- Experience working with trusts, estates, partnerships, or investment accounting is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.Experience with trust accounting systems and financial reporting tools is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills.
