Treasury Manager

This role is for one of Weekday’s clients Salary range: Rs 2000000 - Rs 3500000 (ie INR 20 - 35 LPA) Min Experience: 10+ years Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India JobType: full-time We are seeking a meticulous, proactive, and experienced Treasury Manager to oversee day-to-day treasury operations, payment processing, cash management, banking relationships, and financial controls. The role will have a strong focus on cheque-based and manual payment processes , ensuring timely execution of critical transactions while maintaining accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and strong relationships with banking partners. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in treasury operations, corporate banking, payment processing, cash flow management, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and financial institutions. Requirements Key Responsibilities Cheque Management & Payment Processing Oversee the preparation, tracking, and processing of cheques for vendor payments, payroll, and other business disbursements. Coordinate with authorized internal signatories to ensure timely cheque signing and completion of required documentation. Maintain accurate physical and digital records of cheque transactions with complete audit trails. Monitor payment schedules and ensure critical payments are executed within defined timelines. Coordinate manual and digital payment processes while maintaining strong operational controls. Banking & Relationship Management Build and maintain strong working relationships with branch managers and key contacts across partner banks. Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day banking and treasury requirements. Coordinate with banks to facilitate timely and prioritized processing of critical transactions. Resolve banking and transaction-related queries, including fund transfers, cheque clearances, payment issues, and escalations. Coordinate with multiple banking partners to ensure smooth and uninterrupted treasury operations. Treasury Operations & Cash Management Monitor daily cash flows and ensure adequate fund availability across bank accounts. Plan and manage cash requirements for cheque issuance, vendor payments, payroll, and other disbursements. Monitor account balances and coordinate fund movements as required. Ensure all treasury transactions comply with internal policies, authorization matrices, and financial controls. Support month-end and year-end financial closing through treasury reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Compliance & Controls Ensure treasury transactions comply with applicable regulatory and statutory requirements. Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all financial instruments and transactions. Safeguard the confidentiality and security of cheques, banking information, and other financial documentation. Support internal and external audits by providing relevant treasury records and reconciliations. Identify operational risks and strengthen treasury controls where required. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field . 10–15 years of experience in Treasury Operations, Corporate Finance, Banking Operations, or a related function. Strong hands-on experience managing cheque-based and manual payment processes . Strong understanding of banking operations, payment processing, and treasury procedures. Prior experience managing relationships with multiple banking partners. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills. Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-up capabilities. Proficiency in MS Excel and basic accounting systems such as Tally. Exposure to ERP-based financial and treasury systems is an advantage. Familiarity with both manual and digital treasury processes, particularly in environments transitioning toward greater automation.
