Tax Manager – Family Office – Global Family Enterprise Our Family Office Global Family Enterprise (GFE ) practice focuses on providing compliance and consulting services to wealthy families and their private business or investment entities, including personal, charitable and trust taxation and estate/gift taxation. Members of the GFE practice are responsible for tax engagements for a variety of clients before, during and/or exit from their integration with the U.S. income and estate tax systems. We provide an exceptional opportunity to develop professionally and personally through exposure to strategic international tax planning and compliance, structure consultations with respect to multinational individuals, families and family offices . Job Responsibilities Manage tax consulting and compliance of multiple engagements across different jurisdictions Direct and review staff work – project and people management Employ tax service models and process tools to enhance quality and efficiency Administer engagement; prepare engagement letters, invoices, etc. Develop understanding of client’s business or family structure & investments, and become a ‘functional expert’ Interface with client on information requests, project status, develop trusted advisor relationship with management, etc. Assist with recruiting and developing talent Engage in networking and other business development activities Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited university One of the following is required: active CPA license in the state of residence or primary office; active Enrolled Agent (EA) license; or active Attorney license Minimum five years of experience in public accounting or tax-related work Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to meet client service, quality, and performance expectations within applicable deadlines and in accordance with firm and client standards Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively with firm personnel and clients in person, by telephone, and through electronic or written means Effective project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and quality of work in a fast paced, client service environment Ability to work effectively in a professional office environment and, as required by the role, at client sites, including the ability to sit for extended periods of time and work at a computer and other standard office equipment Ability to maintain consistent, onsite presence during core business hours including the ability to regularly report to a firm office location and travel to client sites as required, including access to reliable transportation Ability to work extended and/or non standard hours during peak periods or as necessary to meet client, project, or firm business needs At RSM, we offer a competitive benefits and compensation package for all our people. At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range. Compensation Range: $101,900 - $205,200 Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
