Title: Tax Manager
Reports To: Partner / Senior Tax Manager
Position Summary:
Seeking a Tax Manager to oversee tax engagements, support client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of New Jersey practice. This role is ideal for a technically strong tax professional who enjoys managing client work, mentoring staff, and developing as a leader within a growing organization.
The successful candidate will work closely with firm leadership while helping deliver high-quality tax and advisory services to closely held businesses, partnerships, and individual clients.

Work Environment: This role is based full-time in office and involves close in-person collaboration with our team and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and review business, partnership, corporate, and individual tax engagements, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
Prepare and review tax returns, projections, and related workpapers.
Assist with tax planning and advisory services for closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through responsiveness, professionalism, and technical expertise.
Supervise, mentor, and develop senior accountants and staff accountants.
Coordinate workflow, manage deadlines, and oversee engagement budgeting and scheduling.
Research and resolve federal and state tax issues, including multi-state matters where applicable.
Collaborate with firm leadership to improve processes, workflow efficiency, and client service delivery.
Support implementation of technology and best practices across engagements.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across organization growing national network.
Qualifications
Active CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing licensure).
4 to 6 years of progressive public accounting experience with a strong focus on taxation.
Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax compliance.
Experience reviewing returns and supervising staff.
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
Experience with tax and accounting software platforms commonly used in public accounting.
