Job Title:Tax Director/Partner - Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)
Location: New York City, NY
Base Salary: $220,000 to $500,000 +Best-in-class Benefits

- The Tax Director/Partner in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) at Anchin plays a crucial leadership role within the organization, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of tax-related matters and M&A activities. This individual will provide strategic guidance to clients, lead a team of professionals, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations while optimizing opportunities for mergers and acquisitions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tax strategies aligned with business objectives to optimize tax efficiency.
- Provide expert advice on domestic and international tax issues, including compliance, planning, and risk management.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization and its clients.
- Lead and coordinate due diligence efforts for M&A transactions, identifying potential tax risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with legal, financial, and operational teams to structure deals and transactions tax-efficiently.
- Provide strategic guidance on post-merger integration and restructuring to maximize tax benefits.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic tax planning and M&A advice.
- Conduct client meetings and presentations to articulate complex tax concepts clearly and understandably.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Monitor and report on the organization's overall tax position, risks, and opportunities.
- Identify and assess tax risks associated with business activities and transactions.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA required.
Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and M&A transactions.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax laws and regulations.
- Consistent business development experience required.
- Proven leadership and managerial skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
