Staff Accountant

Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare various financial reports by performing the following duties listed below.  These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Full Time, Onsite Position

General Media Group Accounting:

• Review daily cash and prepare and post journal entries.
• Assist in month‐end closings for both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports.
• Audit AR/AP accounts as needed.
• Conduct reviews of the General Ledger.
• Order deposit books.
• Provide back‐up support for the Accounts Payable Specialist and Accounts Receivable Specialist positions when needed.
• Communicate professionally with upset customers.
• All other duties as assigned.

Media Group Payroll:

• Adjust/Edit weekly employee hours as needed.
• Print weekly payroll reports for department head approval.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two (2) year college or technical school; or two (2) years of related experience and/or training.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office products is necessary, primarily Excel.
