Summary

The Staff Accountant assumes responsibility for various accounting functions such as recording journal entries, account reconciliations, general ledger account analysis and reporting, and the monthly close process.  

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Journal Entries
• General ledger account reconciliations.
• General ledger account analysis and reporting.
• Quick resolution of accounting questions.
• Monitor accounting policies and procedures as it pertains to the job.
• Special Projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Required bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of accounting experience in a professional environment.
• In depth knowledge of accrual accounting concepts, journal entries and analysis.
• Excel proficiency, Access a plus.
• Skilled in working with computers and automated accounting systems (Microsoft AX a plus).
