Staff Accountant

Professional Search Group OC is partnering with a growing manufacturing client to identify a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations across multiple entities. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with vendors, and has strong AP knowledge with broader accounting exposure.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in accounts payable, reconciliations, sales tax, and multi-entity accounting while maintaining accuracy and organization in a high-volume setting.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage high-volume accounts payable for multiple entities (approximately 100+ invoices weekly)
• Execute weekly check runs and ensure timely vendor payments
• Perform 3-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
• Assist with purchase order placement for multiple company locations
• Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9s, addresses, and account details
• Submit credit applications and establish new vendor accounts
• Track and renew annual business licenses and permits across multiple companies
• Prepare and file quarterly sales tax reports for California and Texas
• Reconcile and track corporate credit card expenses
• Organize accounting files, documentation, and mail distribution
• Serve as backup support for processing credit card payments and check deposits
• Assist with incoming calls and maintain professional communication with vendors and internal teams

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of accounts payable and general accounting principles
• Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred
• Knowledge of sales tax filings (CA and TX preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional vendor communication experience required
• Accounting degree or related coursework preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
