Location: Central Support Office, Waterford, MI 100% in office Reports to: Chief Financial Officer General Job Objective: Manages the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department within Central Support. Responsibilities include reconciling bank accounts and credit cards, processing payroll, preparing accurate financial reports, and recording financial journal entries. Essential Job Duties: The Staff Accountant assists the CFO by performing the following tasks:

Compile and process payroll. Reconcile payroll spreadsheets with entries in payroll service software.
Run Physical Inventory reports weekly for all branches.
Customer account adjustments and aging.
Daily cash analysis and reconciliations.
Review of Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.
Standard general journal entries and credit card purchase entries.
Maintain and update branch inventory values.
Find and troubleshoot accounting transaction errors and omissions.
Perform month-end close to ensure that data has been captured accurately.
Verify and reconcile intercompany accounts.
Maintain and help to develop improved financial reports.
Determine ways to reduce costs and improve productivity and efficiency within Finance.
Understand the financial status of the companies to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing.
Other duties as assigned by the CFO.
