Staff Accountant

Job Description:
Summary:
The Staff Accountant II is responsible for assigned roles relating to analysis and compliance with financial reporting standards and is expected to promote sound operational and financial decision making within their assigned areas.  Position works closely with Finance, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Supply Chain, and other departments in conducting month end close, reviewing variances, and reconciling general ledger accounts.  This individual will work with department and facility leaders to develop and interpret budgets and budget variances, and corrective action plans.  The Accountant will develop knowledge of information available through multiple data sources and assist as necessary in submission of data for external reporting.  This individual will often assist an Accounting Manager or Controller and works with minimum amount of direction and supervision.

Requirements:
​Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required, Master's degree preferred.  Three (3) to Five (5) years of work experience in accounting or similar field, preferably in healthcare setting, required.
Licenses and Certifications:

​Valid and active HFMA, CPA, CMA, or similar accounting or healthcare certifications preferred.
