Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

We’re looking for an entry-level Staff Accountant to join our growing team in Fort Worth. This role will provide critical support in General Ledger accounting, Treasury management, and Accounts Receivable (A/R) Cash Applications, with additional exposure to reporting, accounts payable, and systems/process implementations.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and an eagerness to learn within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

General Ledger Accounting

• Support daily sweep preparation and monitor cash remittances to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Assist with preparation and posting of journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure accuracy.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities in compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
• Contribute to various ad-hoc projects as needed, such as accounts payable processing, audit support, and fluctuation (flux) analysis.

Treasury

• Monitor daily cash balances across multiple bank accounts and initiate fund transfers as needed.
• Support cash flow forecasting and reporting.
• Assist with processing outgoing payments and maintaining accurate treasury records.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve cash management issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 0–2 years of accounting or internship experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (US GAAP exposure a plus).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and AP automation tools (preferred but not required).
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
