Job Description:
This job is responsible for tax planning, advisory, forecasting, and compliance activities. Key responsibilities include complying with tax reporting requirements for various government jurisdictions, researching tax issues and developing effective tax optimization strategies, and supporting the achievement of business objectives by collaborating on activities and projects with teammates and partners throughout the enterprise. Job expectations include leading projects, coordinating resources and leading partner relationships.
This job is responsible for Sales Tax regulatory reporting for multi-state/multi- supporting Banc of America Leasing & Capital. Key responsibilities include complying with tax reporting requirements for various government jurisdictions, researching tax issues and developing effective tax optimization strategies, and supporting the achievement of business objectives by collaborating on activities and projects with teammates and partners throughout the enterprise. Job expectations include leading projects, coordinating resources and leading partner relationships.
The role will require the successful candidate to:
• Prepare and file multi-state/multi-company Sales Tax regulatory reporting requirements
• Coordinate globally with colleagues in GBAM Operations Tax & Control, GBAM Tax Change, GBAM Technology, Global Tax Policy & Global Tax Compliance.
• Drive tax initiatives and tax regulatory implementations in partnership with GBAM Tax Change & GBAM Technology.
Responsibilities:
§ Analyzes and interprets tax laws and regulations
§ Assists in the preparation of tax planning and compliance strategies
§ Prepares and reviews federal, state, and local tax returns
§ Researches and analyzes tax issues
§ Supports the preparation of tax compliance and reporting requirements
§ Prepares and reviews tax estimates and projections
§ Identifies and implements process improvements
Responsibilities:

Required Skills:
• 10-15 years multi-state/multi-company Sales Tax experience—Leasing/Equipment Finance sales tax experience a plus.
•Extensive experience with Vertex Indirect Tax Returns
• Experience with Vertex O, general reporting functionality and tax assist rules configuration.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Proven ability to perform complex reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues through structured, analytical approaches.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
• Highly organized with strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail across processes and deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate issues, solutions, and status updates to stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
