POSITION SCOPE:

The Sr. Manager – Accounting is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and managing the company’s financial processes, including developing and implementing financial strategies, maintain financial records, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare journal entries, upload entries, and data transfers for multiple software’s
• Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded
• Reconciliation of general ledger operations.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Oversee accounts and receivable processes. Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and payments.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closes.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team. Provide guidance and support to ensure team efficiency and professional growth.
• Oversee tax filing and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Work with external tax advisors as needed.
• Independently resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses and balance sheet accounts.
• Invoicing, A/R follow-up, approving of brokers, set up of cash transfers, and other accounting related duties as assigned.
• Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
• Ad-hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications

PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisor or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
• Commitment to excellence and high standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasionally climb stairs, frequently stoop, kneel or crouch
• Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate object
• Have manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office machines
• Be exposed to extreme cold and/or hot working conditions
• Have correctable vision and hearing
• Travel occasionally

ENVIRONMENT

Most work is conducted in a comfortable office environment but exposure to site conditions may also occur. Personal protective equipment must be worn in all areas as required.  Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, must be careful while performing onsite services.
