Senior Financial Analyst

Job Summary: 

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Analyst provides analytical and reporting support for the financial management of assigned Ministry area(s)—all in accordance with the policies and procedures established by ABS. The Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the annual budget, midyear revised budget, monthly trend analysis, and monthly internal management reporting. Duties are to be carried out with integrity, competency, accuracy, and wisdom, with a high regard for professionalism, confidentiality, and diplomacy to help the enterprise and finance leaders be effective.

In this role the Senior Financial Analyst will demonstrate strong finance acumen to support the Senior Finance Manager and Senior Director of FP&A in the effective execution of financial stewardship while working in partnership with Ministry Leaders.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

Physical Demands: This role primarily involves sedentary work in an office environment. Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting of materials and equipment, up to 20 pounds. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

Incumbent will work in an environment where a team approach is employed to achieve accomplishment of projects and tasks. Must be able to work with staff at various levels within the organization. Work is regulated by timeliness and deadlines.

Core Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
