Senior Tax SpecialistJob Description:A full-time opportunity is for a candidate looking to continue advancing their career in a public accounting firm.Responsibilities:Prepare and/or review complex income tax, estate tax, and informational returns.Assume full responsibility for accounting engagements for the preparation of tax returns.Tax forecasting.Tax research.Recognize client problems and develop solutions.Recognize possible problem areas of an engagement and assist in developing solutions.Train, supervise, and evaluate staff members assigned to engagements.Understanding of the Firm’s practices, policies, procedures, and culture.Requirements and Skills:Certified Public Accountant, or Enrolled Agent with public accounting experience.5+ years of experience preparing and/or reviewing complex corporate, partnership, not-for-profit, fiduciary, and individual tax returns.Ability to develop and maintain clients.High level of intelligence, integrity, honesty, motivation, and aptitude for the profession.Must maintain strict client confidentiality.Job Type: Full-time.Salary: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year.*Benefits: Professional Development Assistance401(k), Profit Sharing PlanMedical, Dental, and Vision insuranceFlexible spending accountPaid time off*The range for this role takes into consideration some factors that impact compensation decisions.  This includes, but is not limited to, specific skills, experience, licensure, and other business and organizational needs.  It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, as compensation decisions are dependent on specific facts and circumstances of each case.
