Title: Senior Tax Manager
Reports To: Managing Partner

Position Summary:

Seeking a Senior Tax Manager to lead client engagements, strengthen relationships, and actively contribute to the growth of New Jersey practice. This is a leadership-track position ideal for a technically strong tax professional who combines technical excellence with business development skill, mentoring ability, and a passion for building something larger than themselves.

This role offers a direct path to Partner within a national platform designed to reward initiative, collaboration, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide technical leadership. Manage and review complex business, partnership, and individual tax engagements, ensuring compliance and high-quality deliverables.

· Advise proactively. Deliver strategic tax planning and structuring guidance for closely held businesses, partnerships, and high-net-worth clients.

· Develop new business. Proactively identify and pursue opportunities with existing and prospective clients. Network within the community and industry groups to expand firm visibility and client base.

· Strengthen relationships. Serve as a trusted advisor by building deep, long-term client relationships grounded in expertise, responsiveness, and results.

· Lead and mentor. Supervise, train, and develop managers, seniors, and staff, fostering technical excellence and leadership readiness.

· Collaborate strategically. Partner with firm leadership to execute regional growth plans, expand service offerings, and enhance profitability.

· Innovate and improve. Contribute to process efficiency, technology integration, and the advancement of firm best practices.

· Engage nationally. Work with colleagues across organization growing network to share expertise, serve multi-location clients, and contribute to platform-wide initiatives.

· Support advisory initiatives. Assist clients with transactions, entity restructuring, and multi-state compliance as the firm’s advisory services expand.

Qualifications

· Active CPA license required.

· 8 to 10+ years of progressive public accounting experience, with deep expertise in taxation.

· Proven success in client relationship management and new business development.

· Strong technical proficiency in federal and state tax law, including multi-state experience.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.

· Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for practice growth and equity participation.
