As a Senior Manager, Payroll, you'll lead a team responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll while driving operational excellence, process improvement, and automation. You'll partner with leaders across multiple business units, as well as HR, Benefits, Finance, Technology, Risk, and Compliance teams, to help solve complex payroll challenges, mitigate risk, and enhance service delivery. The Expertise and Skills You Bring You bring a strong foundation in operations and leadership, along with a commitment to delivering accurate, compliant, and employee-focused payroll services. You have experience building strong partnerships across business units and corporate functions, balancing day-to-day operational excellence with strategic initiatives that improve processes, manage risk, and enhance the overall employee experience. You are comfortable navigating complex environments, leading through change, developing high-performing teams, and influencing stakeholders to drive meaningful outcomes. Experience leading operations and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, complex environment. Success operating within highly regulated environments where compliance, risk management, internal controls, and audit practices are integral to day-to-day operations and decision-making. Proven ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate effectively across business units, HR, Benefits, Finance, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and other key stakeholders. Demonstrated success driving operational excellence through process optimization, automation, continuous improvement, and large-scale transformation initiatives. Ability to identify and solve complex operational challenges while balancing compliance, risk mitigation, and service delivery objectives. CPP certification, and/or experience with enterprise payroll systems are a plus. The Team The Payroll team is part of Fidelity's HR Shared Services organization and plays a critical role in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely pay for the firm. We partner closely with HR, Benefits, Finance, Technology, Risk, Compliance, and business leaders to drive operational excellence, manage risk, and continuously improve the payroll experience. Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
