Senior Manager of FP&A

Job Description

A client of 6 Degrees Group is hiring for a Sr. Manager of FP&A, Supporting IT in Atlanta, GA. This is a leadership seat on the business unit finance team of a large, growing national retailer, where you’ll be the finance partner for the IT organization. You’ll own budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and longer-range planning for the group, and you’ll build the models and business cases behind some of the company’s biggest strategic investments. You’ll also lead a small team and get real exposure to the wider business, from supply chain and inventory to real estate and P&L strategy. The role is in office Monday through Thursday with Fridays from home, and it’s a great fit for someone who likes pairing deep analytics with a seat at the decision-making table.

Responsibilities:

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for IT, tying spend to business initiatives and operational results
• Build financial models, ROI analyses, and proformas to support strategic investments and executive decisions
• Deliver executive summaries and weekly and monthly reporting, using BI tools and dashboards to standardize and improve the planning process
• Manage and develop a team that supports business leaders with ad hoc analysis and special projects

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of FP&A or corporate finance experience, with time spent leading a team
• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, plus experience with BI and dashboard tools
• Strong communicator who builds solid cross-functional partnerships; retail or IT finance experience is a plus
