The Senior Manager II, FP&A ICON Lead is a high-calibre FP&A professional within MR COE, responsible for the end-to-end FP&A consolidation, performance management, financial storytelling, and business partnering across BMS's ICON region — Canada, Mexico, LR COE and LATAM markets . This role is ideally suited to a high-potential finance professional with strong FP&A fundamentals, growing leadership capability, and the commercial curiosity and technical rigour to manage a complex, multi-country, multi-currency portfolio. Exceptional expertise in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling Expertise across the full P&L — revenue through operating profit — across markets with different commercial models and regulatory environments Commercially savvy leader with a deep understanding of the business landscape, market / product trends, revenue/P&L forecasting Expert ability to translate complex multi-market financial dynamics into a story that a business leader can act on. Able to go deep on the detail and also able to stay at the headline. Outstanding ability to forge strong partnerships with fellow Hub team members and in-market Finance colleagues to provide high-quality services in a timely fashion Open communication and cooperation to ensure the FP&A Hub in Hyderabad remains an integral part of the local FP&A teams, aligned to broader vision and strategy, and contributes to the overall success of the Finance function and BMS Act as a liaison, build and encourage commercial finance partnerships across the ICON team and other business units ensuring alignment with overall goals and driving performance improvements. Actively using and advocating for AI and automation tools in the team's work Expert at the complete people management cycle for direct reports spanning across goals, performance feedback, developmental feedback, performance management, and career advocacy Successful candidates will possess excellent leadership skills, inspiring and motivating team members to deliver exceptional results. Enables adoption of new ways of working across the ICON team and the wider organization/ finance community — with change management instinct A minimum of 10-14 years of experience is required. The position will be based in BMS's Hyderabad Location (expected 50% in-person) with minimal travel expected. Key Responsibilities and Major Duties: The SM II leads a direct team of 5, each owning day-to-day execution across a defined ICON market cluster. The SM II's primary mandate is to guide, develop, and performance-manage this team — ensuring the ICON FP&A function delivers with accuracy, timeliness, stakeholder value, and operational excellence across all market clusters. ICON FP&A Monthly & Quarterly Performance Reviews Guide the team in producing performance analyses that go beyond variance reports /numbers to understand what is driving the variance and what it means for the rest of the year Review and challenge performance narratives before they reach the Finance Directors of the markets, Head of Finance -ICON Own the ICON consolidated performance narrative and synthesise the individual market narrative into a single, coherent ICON story for the Finance Director of the markets/ Head of Finance -ICON Understand the commercial context behind the financials well enough to ask the right questions and challenge the right assumptions Strategic Business Partnering & Planning Run the ICON budget cycle across the team — design the planning calendar, assign responsibilities, set quality standards, and manage the consolidated timeline Guide the team in working with their country finance heads to build credible, well-supported business plans — plans that reflect commercial context, trends, volume assumptions, pricing dynamics, investment plans, and cost trajectories and targets from HQ Ensure the team is bringing genuine commercial insight to country finance conversations — challenging assumptions with evidence, connecting financial performance to commercial drivers, and helping country teams think through the financial implications of their commercial choices Develop the team's commercial acumen — each team member should understand the commercial model of their markets well enough to connect financial performance to business drivers; they're not just reading financial statements, they're interpreting the business Build analytical frameworks that the team can use consistently across market clusters — scenario analysis, sensitivity modelling, driver-based performance decomposition; these should be standard tools in the team's toolkit, not special projects Operational & Process Excellence, standardization and improvement Support Director, FP&A MR COE, who owns FP&A MR COE for Ex-US for BMS Review team outputs — market performance narratives, planning submissions, consolidated ICON packs Set and maintain quality standards across all five market clusters and build a culture of accuracy Drive efficiency across the team's workflows — identify where the team is spending time on low-value manual activity and work with them to eliminate it; the time saved is reinvested in higher-value analysis and business partnering Own the ICON planning calendar — design the end-to-end cycle, assign milestones and owners across the team, and monitor progress; intervene when something is at risk Participate in COE governance forums — represent the ICON team's perspective in Eiffel reviews, planning calendar discussions, and cross-COE process improvement conversations Collaborate actively with AD Europe and AD APAC — share process improvements, align on planning standards and global assumptions, and contribute to building a strong EX-US MR COE team focused on business partnering Solicit feedback from business, internal customers, both operationally and regionally, to determine the best response to continually improve process performance Relationship management Interacts with OPS COE team for all the markets Serves as an inspirational and engaging leader who motivates and engages through clear articulation of FP&A priorities for the market Shares leading practices and learning with other Hub sub-tower teams Collaborates across Hub sub-towers to drive process standardization and innovation Establishes and maintains strong relationships with Executive Director – GBO and HYD Hub FP&A Lead, Director Ex-US MR COE and with Director – FP&A OPS COE Assists in recruiting, hiring, and retaining of strong local team members Identifies and manages training and upskilling of local team members Risk management Articulates material risks and opportunities and takes an active role supporting MR COE in designing and executing response or contingency plans We hire for skills and capabilities, not just credentials – if this role excites you, but doesn’t perfectly match your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
