POSITION OVERVIEW:Reporting to the SVP, Finance, the Sr. Manager, FP&A will play a crucial role in partnering closely with Accounting, Department Heads and Senior Leadership while leading the annual budget, periodic forecasting and cash flow management. This position requires a self-starter with attention to detail, financial acumen and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead all aspects of the annual financial planning process, including the development of robust revenue, expense and cash forecast assumptions.
Oversee the consolidated planning and forecasting cycles, providing scenario modeling and strategic input to support decision-making across the organization.
Provide support in the consolidated monthly and quarterly close process by partnering with Accounting, ensuring timely, accurate variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
Continuously updating and managing cash flow model with reporting presented monthly to upper management.
Responsible for monthly reporting of actuals and variance analysis to department leadership
Partner with department leadership to obtain business insights to be incorporated into the forecast.
Present financial insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership, enabling informed decisions to optimize growth, margins, and cash generation.
Manage and maintain financial models and forecasts to support frequent business plan updates and analysis for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
Assist in preparation of monthly reporting package and financial analytics for senior management.
Build an in-depth understanding of all lines of business and analyze key drivers for each, to be able to identify efficiencies and provide recommendations to improve results across departments.
Complete debt reporting requirements on a quarterly basis.
Ensure the timely preparation and submission of all MLS specific reporting including the annual MLS reporting package for the season.
Build and maintain financial models to evaluate business initiatives, such as new sponsorship deals, stadium improvements, and player acquisitions.
Ad hoc scenario analysis and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
CPA certification preferred.
Minimum 7 years of experience in an FP&A environment including reporting, forecasting and cash flow management.
Proven leadership skills with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Public accounting experience preferred.
Sports and entertainment experience a plus.

SKILLS:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
Expertise in P&L and cash flow management, including consolidation, variance analysis, and performance tracking at both operational and executive levels.
Proficiency in financial reporting systems (preferably NetSuite) and financial planning systems (preferably Vena).
Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Passion for soccer and a good understanding of MLS operations is a plus.
Detail-oriented and driven self-motivator with a strong work ethic to get the job done.
Ability to analyze processes and procedures to make improvements.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently – both written and verbal.
Ability to work productively and multi-task in an unstructured environment with frequent interruptions.
Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
