Join our Accounting Center of Excellence and play a key role in modernizing accounting operations, strengthening financial controls, and supporting business growth. In this role, you'll lead accounting teams, improve processes, implement technology solutions, and partner across Finance to ensure accurate, efficient, and scalable financial operations. What You'll Do Lead accounting operations across areas such as payroll, service operations, clinical accounting, and the financial close process. Manage and develop accounting professionals, including offshore team members. Improve efficiency through process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Partner with Finance and business leaders to solve accounting issues and enhance processes. Lead transformation projects, including workflow automation and SAP S/4HANA initiatives. Use data and analytics to improve reporting, controls, and decision-making. Coach and mentor team members to build a strong, high-performing organization. Identify opportunities to simplify processes and implement scalable solutions. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, controllership, or accounting operations. 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams or leading large cross-functional initiatives. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls, and close processes. Experience working in a large, complex organization. Proven success improving processes, driving automation, and increasing operational efficiency. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to influence stakeholders and lead organizational change. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in Shared Services, a Center of Excellence, Global Business Services, or a large corporate accounting environment. Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, BlackLine, Oracle, or similar financial systems. Experience leading finance transformation or accounting centralization initiatives. Experience implementing automation solutions that improve efficiency and reporting accuracy. Understanding of SOX compliance, audits, and internal controls. Experience using analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Dataiku, SQL, or similar technologies. Experience managing offshore or global teams. CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification. Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $82,940.00 - $182,549.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
