We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Global Tax Manager to own a broad range of global direct tax activities for a multinational leader in the contingent workforce management industry. This individual contributor role will be responsible for the company's U.S. and international income tax function, including provisional tax reporting, direct tax compliance oversight, transfer pricing, cash tax forecasting, international tax matters, tax technology initiatives, and emerging global tax requirements. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on tax professional who is comfortable operating independently, partnering across functions, and driving process improvements. While this position does not have direct reports, it will be responsible for coordinating and managing external advisors and service providers supporting the company's direct tax compliance obligations worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Tax Reporting & Compliance
Prepare the monthly and annual U.S. and foreign income tax provision process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Oversee global direct income tax compliance across U.S. federal, state, local, and international jurisdictions. Coordinate and manage external advisors responsible for preparation and review of corporate income tax returns and related filings. Monitor global direct tax filing requirements and ensure timely compliance with all income tax obligations. Support local country income tax reporting requirements and tax accounting matters. Manage direct tax audits, notices, and controversy matters in partnership with external advisors and internal stakeholders.
International Tax & Transfer Pricing
Lead transfer pricing initiatives, including documentation review, intercompany transaction analysis, and coordination with external advisors. Support international tax planning and operational initiatives. Monitor and assess global tax developments, including OECD Pillar Two requirements and related compliance considerations. Perform technical analysis related to international tax matters, including foreign currency and Section 987 considerations.
Tax Planning & Cash Tax Management
Maintain global cash tax forecasts in partnership with Treasury and Finance. Identify opportunities to optimize the company's worldwide income tax position and cash taxes. Analyze tax overpayments, credits, and recovery opportunities. Provide direct tax support for business initiatives, restructuring projects, and strategic transactions.
Tax Technology & Process Improvement
Lead tax technology and transformation initiatives related to direct tax reporting, compliance, and forecasting. Evaluate and implement automation opportunities and tax software solutions. Develop and enhance tax processes, controls, and reporting frameworks. Identify opportunities to reduce external advisory costs while maintaining high-quality support and compliance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field. CPA required 8+ years of progressive experience in U.S. and international direct tax, including tax provision and income tax compliance. Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740, U.S. corporate income tax, international tax, and transfer pricing. Experience overseeing multinational direct tax compliance through external service providers. Experience with tax provision and compliance software. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting multinational service-based organizations. Knowledge of OECD Pillar Two and global minimum tax developments. Experience leading tax transformation, automation, or technology implementation projects. Demonstrated success identifying cash tax savings, tax recovery opportunities, and process improvements. Big Four public accounting experience, corporate tax department experience, or a combination of both.
Location: DFW Area: Hybrid Schedule (2 days onsite in Addison,TX) Compensation: Salary range is $150,000-$180,000 USD annually.
