Our finance team is currently seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the firm's accounting operations. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will join a motivated and dedicated team that takes great pride in delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for the accounting and finance function by ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of financial information
- Oversee the full accounting cycle, including period-end closings, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial control processes
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, as well as management reports for the parent company
- Lead, motivate, and develop the accounting team by fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Act as a business partner to management by providing meaningful financial analyses and recommendations to support decision-making
- Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and the effectiveness of the internal control framework
- Coordinate external audit activities and ensure the quality and compliance of audit and assurance documentation
- Oversee the organization’s ongoing tax obligations (sales taxes, government remittances, and tax compliance) and serve as the primary point of contact with external advisors
- Be responsible for short-, medium-, and long-term cash flow forecasting
- Lead the optimization, automation, and standardization of financial processes to improve operational efficiency and the quality of financial information
- Contribute to the evolution of the firm’s financial structure and implement the processes, tools, and controls required to support its growth
- Play a key role in the preparation of the annual budget, financial forecasts, and organizational performance analyses
- Ensure the consistency, relevance, and quality of financial analyses produced across the organization
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, financial institutions, vendors, government authorities, and other strategic partners
- Contribute to the preparation of financial presentations and reports for senior management, the executive committee, and the Board of Directors
- Lead or contribute to strategic projects and financial transformation initiatives that support the firm’s business objectives
- Oversee the governance of financial and accounting systems by ensuring data integrity, process reliability, access management, and the ongoing enhancement of tools supporting financial operations
Requirements and skills
- CPA designation required
- A minimum of 5 years of significant experience in a Controller role or a similar position
- Full professional proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken
- Experience in a professional services environment is considered an asset
- Proven experience leading and developing teams, with a collaborative and empowering leadership style
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 and IBM Analytics is considered an asset
- Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and a keen interest in leveraging artificial intelligence in the workplace
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment
- Strong sense of autonomy and resourcefulness
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to tailor communications to different audiences;
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
